William Alexander Henry worked on the original draft of the “British North America Act”. He was a strong proponent for Confederation.

D G Whidden’s 1933 publication, History of the Town of Antigonish, indicates Henry was president of the Antigonish Curling Club; he was Lieut-Col. Of the First Antigonish Regiment, Nova Scotia Militia and also served as Mayor of Halifax.
