When the church was built, instead of pews the parish purchased chairs for the congregation to sit on. The chairs were attached together with wooden slats in rows of 5 or 6 chairs. In 1969 Mrs. Lucie LeBlanc decided that the church should be more modern so she donated money to have all the chairs replaced with the oak wood pews that are presently in the church.
