De La Tour Museum and Reference Library in Centre East Pubnico, NS. It shows the Acadian Tower in front with the British and Acadian flags and owner H. Leander d’Entremont’s house.
A monument to commemorate events from the past was built in East Pubnico in 1929–30, particularly relating to Pubnico’s Acadian history. Mr. d’Entremont drew inspiration from old châteaux in France for the design of the monument. It was built from cement and brick. It is 16 feet tall. At its base, it covers an area of six square feet. At the top of the tower, it is four square feet. On the sides of the monument, there were four important tablets. The letters were done in gold leaf, and the sand-coloured background resembled granite. The incriptions are in French, and draw attention to key historical facts from this part of the country.
