Fish sheds:
This photo, which dates from 1903, was taken from Elizabeth (Justinien) d’Entremont’s property and gives a view of the small fish processing sheds at the north of the village. They were located along the water.
Eventually, these small sheds were moved behind their owners’ houses on the other side of the road. As they were no longer being used for preparing fish, they were used as storage sheds and workshops. Many of them have disappeared, but there are a few remaining.
Date: 1903
