MacDonald House Museum, Lake Ainslie

The grand house

John Gunn's mansion, the grand house, was the largest at Kenloch at the time. It was torn down in 1975. Gunn was the son of pioneer, Dr. Gunn, a well known and highly regarded doctor of his day. The house was a source of wonder and thought to be full of ghosts, so thought young people! Kenloch is at the north end of Lake Ainslie.
