Admiral Digby Museum

On Sunday September 24, 1922 Digby’s Cenotaph was unveiled in memory of those from Digby and the vicinity who fell during World War I. According to the September 29, 1922 edition of the Digby Courier, “It will ever be a reminder to the Digby people of the sacrifices made by other Digby people in the years gone by”. Still standing today, the Cenotaph is the ever present reminder that it was intended to be. Visitors and residents of Digby pass by the Cenotaph every day, and many gather around it each year for the Remembrance Day Service on November 11th.
