Admiral Digby Museum

In 1891 Digby built its Alms House in Marshalltown, Digby County, to replace an older and smaller structure. Some reports claim abuse and mistreatment while others praise the institution. In 1963 Digby’s Alms House was closed and the remaining inmates were transferred. In 1995 it was burned to the ground.
