DesBrisay Museum, Bridgewater

First Dawson Memorial Hospital, Female Ward

When J. Kenneth Dawson (1861-1916) died, he left the Town of Bridgewater $20,000 to build a hospital on Dufferin Street. It officially opened in 1920 and served the community until 1966. Peggy Parker is the nurse in the background.
