DesBrisay Museum, Bridgewater

Mather Byles DesBrisay (1828-1900) was a lawyer, politician, judge, and historian. DesBrisay was elected to the Liberal Nova Scotia House of Assembly representing Lunenburg County in 1867. In 1870 DesBrisay wrote a History of the County of Lunenburg and started a small museum in his home on Pleasant Street, Bridgewater.
