11: The first house built by Mr. S.S. Thorne. Altered by Mr. Fader. Built 1824. Seen on his daughter's sampler and in the corner of the first St. James' Church picture.

12: The James H. Thorne house on Court St., to which his father moved about 1865, when James went to Halifax.

13: The S.S. Thorne house. Altered beautifully by Dr. W. Harlow. Later burned.
