Nan Alexina (AKA Nano) Chisholm was born about 1891 in Antigonish, the daughter of Ellen (Grant) and Alexander D Chisholm.
She was one of seven siblings who grew up in Town on Hawthorne Street. As a young girl she maintained this diary from 1906 through 1907 recording the day to day happenings in her life. Young girls were often found on outings with friends frequenting the Horn (AKA the Landing) and the trestle along the railway, exploring Main Street and each year many would take the train to James River for special events.
Date: 1906
