The first Exhibition building was built at the top of Dufferin Street, Bridgewater after 1892 and was described as “commodious and well-appointed”. The South Shore Exhibition held cattle-pulling matches (ox pulls), horse-pulling, rides, and concerts. This exhibition continues to draw thousands of spectators to Bridgewater each summer.
