Soldiers in front of Drill Hall, Dufferin Street

In 1914, Bridgewater’s Drill Shed on Dufferin Street was opened to begin recruiting a company of 125 men to fight in the Great War. In this photo, the 112th Battalion are shown posing in front of the Drill Hall. The Hall was also used for the reception of food and goods to collect relief supplies for the war effort.
