DesBrisay Museum, Bridgewater

Wile Carding Mill, Victoria Road

Dean Wile (1833-1913) bought two acres of land along Victoria Road in 1860 and built a carding mill. Following Dean Wile’s death in 1913, his son Otto Wile took over the business. In 1974 the Province of Nova Scotia bought and preserved the site as a museum.
