DesBrisay Museum, Bridgewater

Our first indication of a Board of Trade in Bridgewater is a newspaper notice in July 1895. In December 7, 1899 a meeting was held at the Bridgewater Courthouse. The Board of Trade was organized for the purpose of protecting the trade and general interests of Bridgewater. The Board of Trade would later become known as the Bridgewater Chamber of Commerce.
