DesBrisay Museum, Bridgewater

Bridgewater had a population of around 500 when Confederation occurred in 1867. This newspaper article in the July 25, 1911 issue, listed the various merchants and occupations that were in operation in 1867. Bridgewater would not be incorporated as a town until February 13, 1899.
