Father Pierre-Marie Dagnaud, pastor of Saint Mary’s parish from 1902 to 1908. Of the new church, Father Dagnaud wrote in one of his letters “Our new church to the blessed Virgin will, God willing, be worthy to bear the name of its predecessor: the big church”
