Pictured here is The Dominion Atantic Railway Station in Middleton, ca. 1910. This building was built in 1889 and in the same year the railway tracks were completed, which ran from Middleton to Lunenburg. This increased traffic and boosted the economy of the area. Unfortunately the station in Middleton was destroyed in a fire June 21, 1916. By 1910 cars were becoming more available and train travel diminished, trains have not traveled through the Valley since the 1990s. The station that was built after this one stands today as Memory Lane Railway Museum. Behind the railway station the Spa Hotel can be seen.
