Annapolis Valley Macdonald Museum, Middleton

Constructon of Macdonald Consolidated

Previous to the construction of the current Macdonald School building, there was a small wooden structure that served as the school for the Middleton area. The old school was built in 1892, but when funds were donated by Sir William Macdonald a new school was built. The school building, in the last stages of construction in 1903, was opened for classes in 1904.
