Tradition Bearer Jim St. Clair in the schoolhouse. Jim St. Clair is an historian and story teller with deep roots in Cape Breton. Descended from North Uist, Scotland, settlers, he passes on the history of Cape Breton through radio spots, columns in newspapers, workshops and storytelling to students and visitors. A noted genealogist, his knowledge of family history is sought out by Cape Breton descendants of early settlers to find their roots on the Island.
