Book written in Gaelic – The Saints Pocket Book of Promises – Joseph Alleine. First Published in 1666 and this copy published in 1823. Inscribed “Donald MacDonald’s book April 13th 1870. A Gaelic speaker, Donald MacDonald of Whycocomagh had a large library of Gaelic and English books on many topics including religion, politics and agriculture.
