Guiding in Nova Scotia is fortunate to have camp properties around the province that can be used for day, weekend and longer events.
These crests are from:
Sherbrooke Lake Camp is just outside New Ross. Brownie, Guide, Pathfinder, winter and survival camps. Yearly saw minimum of 240 girls use facility. Used since 1975. .
Lewis Lake is located in Mount Uniacke. Originally developed in 1957, the "Owls Nest" was an ideal location for Brownie Pack Holidays. The original building has been demolished. There is a residential building "Anne Fraser House" as well as a tenting site. .
Camp Kanada in West Petpeswick recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015. A renovated residential building, "Helen Bethune Lodge" as well as numerous tent sites comprise this popular camp that has been well used over the past five decades. .
Hardwood Lake Camp is located in Kings County just outside the town of Berwick. Built in 1955, the camp has been the site of special camps including a national Jubilee Camp in 1960 celebrating the nation's 50th birthday and the 1963 national Heritage Camp. .
Camp Cumberland is located in Middleboro, Cumberland Co. .
La Cabane is situated in West Pubnico. Officially opened in 1973,the lodge included a large recreation room, kirchen and sick room. .
Camp Wohelo is located outside Bridgewater in Lunenburg County.
