This photograph shows the loading pier and general mining office at Mabou Coal Mines. The text accompanying the image states, "J.G.S. Hudson Cape Breton Series." Hudson was an officer with the Geological Survey of Canada and focused his reporting on the Sydney coalfields and other coal resources of Cape Breton Island.
