Yarmouth County Museum and Archives

Cosmos Cotton Mill was originally the Yarmouth Duck & Yarn Co. and later would become Dominion Textile Inc. until its closure in 1991. From 1883 to 1991, the cotton mill was Yarmouth's primary large-scale industry, providing the most jobs for Yarmouth residents and playing a crucial role in the area’s economy. The photo is of the “roving” machine.
