Annapolis Valley Macdonald Museum, Middleton

Baseball was played in Middleton as far back as the 1890s and was a very popular passtime in Middleton. Baseball games were a popular topic in the local newspaper. An excerpt from the Outlook newspaper on August 1, 1913 reads; "The single men of Margaretville defeat the married men in an amusing game of baseball".
