Nova Scotia Archives offers an Inter-Library Loan Service for researchers interested in borrowing holdings from other lending institutions across Canada or beyond. If you have identified source material held by another institution which participates in the inter-library loan system, we will arrange to bring that material to the Nova Scotia Archives on short term-loan to facilitate your research. All loaned materials must be accessed onsite in the Reading Rooms.
Please note that any service charges levied by the lending institution will be the responsibility of the researcher requesting the loan. Requests to borrow books or other published materials should be directed to your local library. The Nova Scotia Archives cannot conduct intensive location searches for research material, but if you know what you want and where it is located, we can help. The Nova Scotia Archives does not lend archival material nor library items under the Inter-Library Loan Service.
