Att a Council held by order of the Honourable Lawrence Armstrong Esqr Lieut Governor of the Province in his Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royall on Saturday the 23d of June 1733

     His Honour acquainted the Board that there were Some men arrived here from Pissaquit viztt Anthony Le Prince and Honoré Le Blanc for and in behalf of William Trahan Plantiff; & Paul Bennoit and Reny Boudrot attorneys for Alexander Trahan Defendant; and that each of the partys had presented him with Memorials in Relation to a Difference between the Plantiff and Defendant; by which it appears that their Said Difference had not only been adjusted between themelves by an Agreement under [358] under the penalty of two hundred livers bearing date the first day of December 1717 before Alexr Bourg Notary at Menis in the presence of ffrancis Silvan and Philip Melanson, But also afterwards by an order of Government under Governr Doucetts hand bearing date the 24 of August 1726. Upon the Defendant William Trahans not observing and Conforming himself to his foresaid agreement with his Brother Alexander, for which he was Condemned to pay the above penalty to his Said Brother Alexander, which his aforesaid attorneys acknowledgeth to have been paid and Received according to Governor Doucetts Said Sentence, by which it was also judged Necessary, that the Plantiff William Complaining of the unjustness of the Compass by which their Boundarys were Settled; Should have liberty to Chuse one of the best and justest Compasses he Could find, for Drawing the line of Separation as mentioned in their foresaid agreement; which having been done by the Deputys of Menis, and the Defendant Alexander Refusing to Rectify the former [359] former Error of the Compass, by which the line of Separation was drawn; alledging that it was just, and that the last Compass was Erroneous,
