     The Honourable L.t Governor of the Province having [167] Having Arrived here the 17.th Ins.t from Canso Acquainted the Board y.t he would have called the Council Sooner, but y.t being hitherto disappointed through the Indisposition of Some of y.e Gentlemen he Judged proper to lay before them his Commis.n for being L.t Governor of this his Majestys Province of Nova Scotia; a Coppy of his Excelly General Philipps's Commission for Governor of Said Province, a Coppy of the Generals Instructions and Additional Instructions, as also a Coppy of the Earl of Orkneys Instructions for the Governm.t of Virginia, which being Read with all due Solemnity, the Honourable Lieu.t Governor of the Province asked the Advice of the Board he Should proceed for want of a Quorum; Which being Considered
