     The Board Considering how the Inhabitants of Cobaquit had in Contempt to this his Majestys Government Made Application to Another for Decision

     Resolved that the Said should be keept and Coppys thereof transmitted home to Shew how far the Neighbouring french Governments Intruds in Regulating Affairs in this Govenment and how Little Respect the french Inhabitants have hitherto had to it [123]

     The Honourable L.t Governor Acquainted the Board that the Deputee from Cobaquit was waiting for an Answer and therefore Ask'd the Advice of the Board what Answer Should be Given him considering the Answer he had allready given the 22.d Ins.t to the other four Deputees which he would not have given could he possibly have known So much of their Difference & proceedings about their Church as he Now doeth Since the Obtaining of the aforesaid papers
2 Deputys of Menis and a preist ordain- ed to appear in Council

     The Board considering the DisrespectfuIl Unmannerly & Menis and Insolent proceedings of those people in daring to apply themselves first to the Bishop of Quebec or any of theit Romish Priests or french Governors for the Decision of any differences that may happen in this His Majesty of Great Britains Government and Afterwards to this Government for Consent & Confirmation of any Such Decisions

     Agreed that the Governour (not knowing the whole State of them1 Affairs till now) Should, for their Underhand, Clandestine & Disrespectfull proceedings Disanull his former Answer by Another in Writing by this Deputee and leave the Decision of that Difference in Suspence till that the Priest
