examin the Master relateing to sd. distemper and Orders him to anchor under the ffort and to let none of his Crew come on shoare till further Orders from his Honour
methods for furnishing provisions for the Garrison.

     He likewise desired the opinion of the Board what methods was to be taken for the good of the service, considering the small quantity of provisions now in Store in this Garrison, and the disappointment of the supply of provisions for the Garrison, wch was on board the Schooner Hannah M.r Wm Souden Master from Cansoe, by the late Casualty which happen'd by her being cast away at the Tusket Islands and all lost, both Vessell and Cargoe.

     Mr Erskine the acting Commissary of provisions for this Garrison being called in and examined by his Honour what provisions was here in Store; acquainted the Board that there was but four weeks provisions of both species of Beaf. and pork — [49]

Advised and agreed That an Order be sent imediately to Minas from the Hon.bleJe Liev.t Governor to supply him with as much beaf as will serve this Garrison for some time the particular Quantity to be considered on further in Council to morrow at ten a Clock morning to which time adjourn'd.

     Mett the same time and place on Wednesday 27th September 1721. The same persons present

     Advised and agreed, for the reasons mentioned in yesterday's minutes, That the Hon:ble Liev.t Governor provide this Garrison with Two months provisions (exclusive of the provisions now in Garrison) by which time this Garrison may be further supplyed by his Excellency General Philipps from Cansoe or else where

     The Collector made report that he had complyed with yesterday Order of Council relawngto Aldens Sloop.

     Advised and Agreed. That it is for the safety of this place and Province That ,an Order be sent from the Hon:ble Liev.t Governor, to sd Alden That no woollen goods; Cotton wool &c (that may hold said infection) be landed here at
