all persons Departing from the province to declare the same 10 days before Departure

His Excellency proposed to the Board. To consider of the unreasonableness of persons in debt departing this Province without liberty from his Excellency or the Commmander in Chief for the time being. Advised thereon.

Agreed, and Order'd. That all persons departing this Province shall put up their names at the Secretarys Office for this Province Ten dayes at least before their departure, and in case any person underwrites or putts in a Caveat in said Office against their goeing off in said time. The person or persons goeing off shall be obliged to giue in sufficient security to the Secretary of this Province, to abide the judgment and Order of the Governor and Council relateing to the same; And it is further Order'd That whosoever shall underwrite any person, so haueing their names up as afores.d shall sett forth their Claimes, and the sum or sums due or oweing them by said person or persons, and by what meanes it doth arise [46] and the person or persons so underwriteing shall file his or their Declaration in said Office at least five days before the said Ten dayes be expired

     At a Council held at his Excellencys house in his Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royal upon Wednesday the 17th May 1721
