'An East Coast Port': Halifax in Wartime, 1939-1945

The Salvation Army, Red Shield Hostel and Centre, 7-11 Argyle Street, Halifax

The Halifax Mail-Star, 24 June 1959, p.24, reported the Salvation Army men's hostel on Argyle Street will be demolished as part of the Cogswell Street extension. Halifax City planned to redevelop nine commercial business blocks.
